Welcome to the Kirkwood Recreation Station Ice Arena formerly known as the Kirkwood Ice Rink built originally as an outdoor rink in 1966. The rink is listed as one of the top friendly rinks in America according to www.about.com. The St.Louis County Welfare Association & Kirkwood Benevolent Fund are non-profit organizations which acts as a support alliance for members and their families in times of need. All employees are members of their Association, by virtue of their employment with the Department.

6:00 pm Horn Blast Welcoming by Jim Holder along with Sponsor Recognition
6:03 pm Teams introduced on ice for pregame warm up. Teams will enter ice through main double door entrance. When they enter they will be instructed doing the popular well known 5 & 1 hand signs for St.Louis Channel 5 10:00 pm news to be shown tonight w/ Deanne Lane Kirkwood 1st followed by Chesterfield . Each team will warm up in their zone 5minutes (Music: Metallica Sandman)

6:10 Check presentation given by the kids and coaches to St Louis County police Sgt.Kevin Cavanaugh President Welfare Assn & Kirkwood community police officer Jim Cox President Kirkwood Benevolent Fund. Kirkwood will hand large check to Kirkwood police Chesterfield to St.Louis County police
6:13 Honorary Charlie Dooley - County Executive offers thanks to all the kids for all their hard work & dedication . Charlie Dooley reads Proclamation announcing Thursday Oct.30th 2008 as Kirkwood & Chesterfield A-1 mite day in St.Louis County.
6:15 Charlie Dooley drops ceremonial puck to the teams two captains -Players then will be introduced individualy skating back to blue line facing each other, helmets removed, looking above to American flag.

Other accolades on his resume besides being a Police officer include, Opera Singing for the Houston , Santa Fe, and St.Louis Symphony Orchestra's.
